I wanted to see how close I could get to the concept of an infantry unit for my sci-fi series, but I ended up making it into a character in itself as well for Halo just for the sake of it. She's totally fair game for people to use however. Below is the description of the helmet configuration.

The Colonial Reactionary Corps responds to internal conflicts on post-global settlements that are still in development. Often, they remain on standby in geosynch orbit, so that they may respond at a moment’s notice to any threat that local constabularies can’t handle alone, and that the Unified Sol Initiative Marines garrisoned on the planet can’t reach quick enough.

The CRC come from various service backgrounds, up to and including Marine Expedition Units, Armies from developed colony worlds that have achieved full statehood, Naval combat roles, and at times off-world Police forces. All candidates require at least four years in a combat role and upon transfer to the CRC undergo various re-training programs, and prior to their assignment to a new world, they perform exercises in settings meant to simulate the new environments they can be exposed to should a combat drop be necessary.
